Coffee Price Crisis Webinar: Mid-Year Update on the SCA’s Response
August 19, 2019
6pm PDT / 2pm BST
Register now to learn about the work that SCA staff and volunteers have been doing on risk assessments and responses to the crisis, to hear about outputs from three convenings held with members of the coffee community, and to preview the fourth and final convening to be held in September. Ellie and Kim Elena will share some of the early calls to action for the coffee community— those steps we can take to mitigate the crisis as we look towards both short- and long-term interventions.
Webinar participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists during the session. Can’t make it to the webinar? Don’t worry, a recording will be made available here on SCA News after the webinar.
What is the SCA doing about the coffee price crisis?
The SCA’s Price Crisis Response initiative, led by a team of staff and volunteers of the SCA’s Sustainability Center, is aimed at understanding the crisis and providing alternative price discovery mechanisms for the coffee sector. Over the past few months, the SCA has hosted a series of webinars and events to amplify the work being done in this field by individuals in the private sector, academia, producing countries, and others in the coffee community. Click here to learn more about the initiative launched in December 2018 and here to find links to articles, webinars, and additional resources on the topic. Register here to join us on August 19 for a mid-year update on this work.
